Frank Tringali is a painter born in Detroit, Michigan in 1988 and currently working in Dallas, Texas. Tringali finds inspiration primarily in the paradoxical tension between systems and individuals, as well as the process of culture distribution and historical cycles. Approaching artwork from a political foundation, Tringali uses painting as a platform to document and discuss the unique aspects of our current zeitgeist, while connecting them to inescapable historical precedent. He is concerned with painting as a tool to dilute the media-saturated environment that surrounds him; in effect, to create effigies for the most telling specimens of modern life.
